The Business Training Center offers a wide variety of courses and certificate programs that allow students to find new employment, retain current employment, or increase confidence in their job search.
All courses are offered individually or as part of a program. You will receive a course certificate upon successful completion of the course and a program certificate if you complete all of the courses within the program. Our instructors provide individualized attention to motivate and develop you to your highest potential.

Accounting Clerk
This certificate program prepares you to become a General Accounting Clerk, AP/AR Clerk, Payroll Clerk, and more. Areas of study include basic accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Bookkeeper
This certificate program prepares students for a position that involves keeping records of financial transactions for businesses, posting to journals, reconciling and balancing accounts both manually and by computer, and performing computerized spreadsheet applications. Training also covers accounting terminology, starting an accounting system, analyzing journal entries into debits and credits, posting to the general ledger, preparing a worksheet, analyzing, adjusting, and closing entries, preparing financial statements, and automated accounting using the Windows environment.

This 24-week certificate program will give you the skills needed to handle a wide variety of duties that are crucial to the business office environment. You will gain computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and file management. Written and oral communication is emphasized as well as the development of accuracy and attention to detail. Customer service and job search techniques prepare you for getting a job and keeping it.

This comprehensive 36-week certificate program will give you the skills needed to effectively initiate and complete high-level specialized administrative activities. You will gain computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, file management, and desktop publishing. Written and oral communication is emphasized as well as the development of accuracy and attention to detail. Customer service and job development capabilities prepare you for getting a job and keeping it.

This comprehensive 36-week certificate program will give you the skills needed to effectively initiate and complete high-level specialized administrative activities. Courses
This 36-week certificate program provides extensive training in properly coding services using CPT and HCPCS procedures and treatments, ICD-10-CM for diagnoses, preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment, correcting rejected claims, tracking payments, following up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding bills. The coder must carefully read the doctor’s and nurse’s notes to precisely determine the services received by the patient. They must also understand private payer policies and government regulations for accurate coding and billing Student will learn in-depth use of coding guidelines from the three medical coding books. Students will be trained for the national certification exam of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or AHIMA

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
-18 years of age minimum
The Optical Assistant Training program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as dispensing opticians, optical assistants, and ophthalmic technicians.
This program is approximately 16 weeks with monthly start dates. Classes are Monday through Wednesday from 9:30am-2:30pm.
The Pharmacy Technician program is designed to teach students the role and function of a pharmacy technician and prepare graduates for entry-level employment as a licensed Pharmacy Technicians.
Our 240-hour, 16-week program combines 120 classroom hours with 130 externship hours.
